The first step to creating your work of art is to prepare the main tool: the pen. Fill both ends with the wax that comes in the kit so the diamonds can stick.

To do this, apply a little pressure on the wax with the tips of the pen, making sure to remove the protective plastic from the wax first. Remove the pen, and that's it!

DMC is a numerical code that corresponds to a standard of colors used in Diamond Painting and other crafts.

Search the code list on your canvas for the symbol you have memorized, and you will find the DMC code associated with it to the right. That's the color to look for now!

Now comes the funniest part!

With your pen full of wax you have to grab a diamond (or several if you are brave and use the multi-pleasure).

Paste the diamond you just picked into the corresponding symbol. If they are square diamonds make sure they are straight. If the diamond is round, however, make sure it is centered in the guide circle.
